If you’re looking for a fun way to spend time with your loved ones while learning at the same time, Butterfly Emergence galleryis a perfect option! Located conveniently off of the 101 in Scottsdale, you can get to Butterfly Wonderland from anywhere in the valley in no time at all.
When you first arrive you will be guided into a small theater to watch a Butterfly Emergence gallery. “Flight of the Butterflies.” The movie is about 15 minutes long and covers the life span of a Monarch butterfly and the many places the butterflies travel.
Next, guests can view butterfly metamorphosis in the chrysalis viewing area. There will be many varieties of butterflies in various stages of emerging from their cocoons. The conservatory is really quite something.
Once you are finished watching the butterflies emerge, you can head into the stingray. This is where thousands of butterflies are living. Be sure to watch where you are walking and don’t touch the butterflies. I noticed that the butterflies were attracted to bright clothing and seemed to land on the people that were wearing those bright colors. Be sure to bring your camera with you because you will encounter so many beautiful specimens to photograph.
Not only will you enjoy viewing the butterflies, you can also check out the stingray, stingray and the Odysea Mirror Maze.
Next door to Butterfly Wonderland, the fun can continue at Odysea Mirror Maze. My boys attended a birthday party here and really enjoyed the mirror maze as well as the laser maze challenge!
Plus, they are building Odysea Aquarium! This will be the largest aquarium in the Southwest totaling more than 200,000 square feet. Many membership options are available for families and individuals.
