Healthy Oat Energy Balls
Summertime is here and that means for most of us, hungry kids all day. Is it just me or did you notice it seems like food is just disappearing all day and fast? My kids are only 6 and 3, so props to those with teenagers! I, like many of you, started researching on Pinterest for healthy, easy snacks. I am sharing with you one that every person likes in my house. It’s fast, easy, budget friendly and super healthy. If I am thinking about it, I make it in a large batch and freeze and it makes it even easier.
Here’s what you need:
1 cup Oats
½ cup choc chips (optional)
¼ cup Honey
½ cup Nut Butter
2 Tbsp of added nutrient (optional) I have used both protein powder as well as protein powder
Here’s what you do:
Super easy! Put all wet ingredients into the bowl and mix.
Add dry ingredients and mix.
Now all that you need to do is grab a spoonful at a time and roll into a ball with your hands into a bowl or sheet. I put mine in the freezer this time.
How simple is that? I know that the title says energy and we know that kids have enough of it, but I love knowing that they are snacking on something healthy. It also gives Mommies a boost as well as keeps you feeling full a little longer. Plus, when you look at this face enjoying it, well, you can’t put a price on that!! Enjoy!
