So, who doesn’t love to get away? Get away from the stress of life and just relax? I had a chance to have a mini get away with some awesome Arizona bloggers. The great part was that I didn’t have to travel very far. The True Foods was kind enough to host us for the night and True Foods Kitchen at the Biltmore hosted us for dinner.
When I arrived at the resort I was surprised to find out that we were staying in a villa. The villa was two stories and included a living room, dining room, mini kitchen, two bedrooms and 2 & 1/2 baths. Plenty of room us girls to hang out and be comfortable! I could only imagine the fun my boys would have running up and down the stairs and jumping on the beds…two queen beds and a king!
When we arrived at True Foods for dinner, I was excited to try their healthy menu items! The first of many decisions was what to drink! I decided on the Pomegranate Limeade, lime juice evaporated cane juice, pom juice and chia seed. The chia seeds were a little surprise every time I took a sip! My favorite app was the vegetable crudités. The color and freshness of the veggies was amazing! For my main course I chose the street tacos with grass fed steak and then the lemon tart for dessert! I definitely left stuffed and well fed.
We headed back to our villa and stayed up late chatting. We had plenty of room to gather in the living room and discuss blogging and give each other encouragement and advice. It was so awesome getting together with these ladies and realizing we all have so much in common. We deal with so many similar problems and struggles.
The next morning we were on our way to breakfast and we had to take a group selfie! We called down to the front desk and they sent a golf cart to transport us to breakfast at Rico’s. I heard that they had a buffet and didn’t even bother looking at the menu. I love buffet’s and the variety that they offer. I got a little fruit, some pastries, bacon, eggs and juice. I’m not a big breakfast eater but everything was yummy! I paced myself so I could make a few trips!
It was great to get home and see my family. But, the time away was much needed and much appreciated. I think when mom is relaxed, the household just seems to run a little bit smoother.
