I think we can all agree it’s not the Holidays without The Nutcracker. I got a sneak peek at Phoenix Ballet/Slawomir Wozniak’s acclaimed The Nutcracker at the Master Ballet Academy in Scottsdale yesterday and, now, I can’t wait to take my kids to this show!

This sweet holiday treat is showing at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Phoenix for two weekends only, December 9-11 and December 22-24. The Dec. 9-11 performances will even have live music performed by our own Phoenix Symphony.
Why is this show different? I got to meet the Artistic Director, Slawomir Wozniak, and some of the dancers. Everyone agrees this performance is so fresh, fun and modern. It stands out from other Nutcracker performances in town because it features some of the world’s best young dancers performing alongside Phoenix Ballet’s professional adult dancers. Check out this line-up:
Juliet Doherty (@julietdoherty on Instagram has over 300k followers!) She’s a celebrity in the dance community, internationally known for her achievements including being a two time Gold Medalist at the prestigious Young America Grand Prix Competition, Beijing International Ballet and Choreography Competition Special Prize Winner and MDM Brand ambassador.
William Jackson Beckham Winner of multiple awards, including first place at the prestigious International Ballet Competition in 2016
Madison Penney (@maddy.pen) is a dance prodigy, one of the top in the world holding multiple awards and honors including the 2016 Hope award at Youth America Grand Prix
Avery Gay (@averygayofficial) was featured on TV’s Little Big Shots and So You Think You Can Dance
It’s time to make some holiday memories with our favorite dancing mice, a stilt-walking Drosselmeyer, snow falling on stage and, of course, the Sugar Plum Fairy. The costumes are so pretty and the performance is so refreshing. Be sure to get your tickets early and don’t miss this show! Choose from:
