Recently, I was invited to Brat Haus Scottsdale by my friend and fellow blogger Angel from Yay Baby Blog. If you’re looking for some good German and Bavarian fare, then this is the restaurant for you. From housemade brats and pretzels to fresh sauerkraut and mustards.
Brat Haus is conveniently located on the west side of Scottsdale road between Osborn and Indian School. We stopped by during the week for lunch and they had a pretty good crowd. I’m sure dinner and the weekends are really busy because the food really is that good.
For starters, I would recommend a fresh Bavarian pretzel served with beer cheese fondue. The pretzel had a slight sweet taste that matched nicely with the saltiness on the outside of the pretzel. Add in the flavors of the beer cheese fondue and it’s a heavenly combination!
When it came time to order my brat, I decided to create my own brat combo and chose the Haus brat (parsley, oregano and allspice) topped with sauerkraut and pickled red onions. Oh and I can’t forget that it was nestled in a bun from Noble Bread! They have quite a selection of mustards to choose from so be sure and try them all.
