Football season is in full swing so home-gating and tailgating will be around for a few months. So of course, when my hubby texts and says he’s having his friends over to watch the big game, I have to come up with a budget friendly home-gating party.
Now, when I get that ominous text, the game starts in an hour. So not only will this home-gating party be budget friendly but it will need to be quick and easy to prepare.
My best money saving tip on food and drink is head to Safeway and look for the huge Coca-Cola® display. They are always having amazing sales at Safeway and you can Score Great Deals on Coca-Cola® and COCA-COLA® ZERO SUGAR plus purchase $15 of participating products and get a catalina receipt with a code to enter to win an ultimate tailgate experience at the Arizona Cardinals game, and other great prizes. Check out http://cbi.as/a0fgd to enter!
Since I needed snacks in a hurry, I picked up some prepared eclairs at the bakery and some ice cream sandwiches in the freezer section along with a tube of prepared white icing. When I got home, I added the icing and decorated the desserts to look like footballs.
A yummy veggie tray from the deli. some restaurant tortilla chips, cheese dip and salsa rounded out the snacks.
I know that Coca-Cola® products are always a hit. Some of the guys prefer something with fewer calories and COKE ZERO SUGAR fits the bill perfectly.
I would love to hear any budget friendly or time saving ideas you may have for a home-gating party.

I love your idea with the eclairs and ice cream sandwiches. How super cute and festive. A nice spread with only an hour’s notice! {client}
