Medieval Times is now open in Scottsdale Arizona. All citizens of the realm are invited to enjoy the food and entertainment.
I was invited to the brand new Medieval Times location to experience the food, jousting and entertainment. As soon as you arrive you will be drawn into the fairy tale by the authentic medieval facade of the castle. The fair maids of the court will help assign you a color that will coincide with the knight that you will be cheering on.
As you step back in time, the queen will be available to take a photo and then you can enjoy a drink or two before the real entertainment begins! But don’t worry, the jousting arena is set up so that every seat is a good one.
Once you have found your table, the king will welcome you to his court and invite his knights out for an introduction. I was in the green section so of course, the green night was our hero!
Be sure to bring your appetite and leave your utensils at home. We were served soup, garlic bread, half of a roast chicken and ice cream for dessert and all were eaten with our hands. Don’t worry, it totally adds to the experience.
It was great to see a wide rage of ages in the audience. This was a family friendly show and even though there were a few fight scenes, they were very well practiced and no humans or horses were injured. You could tell they take very good care of the animals and they have a special bond with the entertainers.

Seems like a really enjoyable outing. The food sounds delicious. The photo of the chicken looks mouth-wateringly good. I wouldn’t have a problem eating with my fingers (they were invented before forks), but ice cream? How do you eat ice cream with your fingers?

This looks like so much fun! I’m planning a trip to Arizona fairly soon to see my favorite person on the planet, and I’m going to add. this in to the things I want to see and do while I am there. I’ll be sharing this as well so that my friend can check it out. Thank you for adding something to my itinerary! That chicken looks absolutely delicious. My only issue would be eating with my hands. The germaphobe in me would be having some sort of meltdown. Lol. I also really want to know how to eat ice cream without utensils. I’m curious about that one!
